These work OK if you dont put too much strain on the wires. First, backing out the screws to open up the wire ports helps to keep the wires from fraying when you push stranded ones in. Second, when you tighten the screws the first part is taking up slack, then it gets harder as the contact inside starts to compress, but youre still NOT tightening it up against the wires it gets harder to turn again; you have to keep going until the connection is really tight. Only then is the assembly adequate. If you want further assurance that the wire isnt going to come out you can put a small drop of super glue where the wires go in, but it does render the connection permanent. Which is OK, the adapters are cheap, if you screw it up you can get 5 male/female pairs for seven or eight bucks delivered these days.

I had one bad , no current through put, I would suggest testing them before use so you do not spend hours finding the problem. They are a solid built item and would buy again but would test them. They fit tight and the screws will take a good twist without stripping. I should give 5 stars but spent to much time tracking down the bad one.

These plugs are garbage, some of them have no internal connection and the ones that do are flakey. The wiring inside is 24-26AWG at best and are terrible solder connections.

Work for my security cams. Make the cables as ling as you need. Outlets arent always 3 ft away from camera position.
