The product is as described. I heat pressed my original artwork on them. It came with ZERO acknowledgement that there is a thin film covering the coasters. If it wasn’t for the other reviews, I would have easily missed this warning. I used my circuit tool to peel it away. Without that tool or one like it, it is easy to scratch the surface. I was pleased with the press, the color absorption, and the sturdiness afterward. I do warn you, however, that the fumes and smell that come from the coaster on the heat press is really bad. Even after cooling, sitting and thoroughly wiping them down… that strange smell is there. I am not sure if it’s coming from the cork or from the substrate’s top layer. I plan to wait a few days to see if it goes away. If you are in a small space… PLEASE find a well ventilated one. So, was this a good value? It could have been if instructions came with the coasters, warnings about ventilation included and most of all… if that smell wasn’t there after. Looking good… isn’t all there is to this. I would not give these away as a gift because of the uncertainty of the origin of the smell. I won’t buy this again. I hope the seller listens and improve on the product.

I had never done a sublimation coaster before but these have a beautiful gloss to them (and be sure to remove the film first as others have mentioned). Once transferred, I couldnt believe how vibrant and striking the colors were. I am buying them again. Really, the quality is nice and the gloss surface is really catchy looking.
