100 ft. 18 Gauge Stranded Flexible Dual Conductor Bonded Zip Cord Wire, Oxygen Free Pure Copper - UL Listed Class 2

Great speaker wire, higher quality than I was expecting. I used this to run a pair of Infinity Kappas with a 75x2 Alpine amp.

Wire was legit 18 gauge copper with UL Class 2 rating.

I found out that finding the right gauge of wire and the right conductor on-line isnt easy. Many sellers are selling wire with ALUMINUM conductors that are copper plated. Also, many of them sell their wire under some gauge of wire that isnt even close to the AWG size. This MaxBrite wire is EXCELLENT, sized right and with conductors of pure copper. Ill be buying some other sizes from them soon.

I know next to nothing about speaker wire and sound quality, so take this with a grain of salt. I know that the 18 gauge is what appears to be the normal size of speaker wire when the layman thinks of speaker wire, and this works great for my sound system, so Im happy. 100 was just the right length of wire for 5 surround speakers and a sub woofer. My only qualm is that I didnt really consider the wire coat color. If I had really thought about the fact that its bright red, I would not have bought this. There is no hiding bright red wire unless you hide it in a wall. Clear or black would have been a much better choice. But I cant dock points from a rating just because its red. Honestly, Ill probably buy new wire later that doesnt look so ridiculous, but for now Im just pleased to have a room filled with sound.

Works good and reliably. This is my 2nd spool and I have no complaints.

The wire was easy to work with. Did not tangle up pulling it through holes around the house. It did seem to increase the sound quality.

Seems like good quality wire. I wired several projects with this, and I havent had any issues. It was enjoyable to work with. So, I guess thats 5 stars for wire. Not sure what else to say about it.
