The purple of this set is a lovely lilac color other sets have a deeper purple (picture #2), the pink is a light rose color and the blue is a nice medium shade. The crystalline texture on the pieces adds interest as well as a ice look (perfect for ice castles). These pieces have nice strong magnets and hold together well. This is a wonderful size set, that the kids (family)will get hours of enjoyment out of and would highly recommend it.
