> 3 dayfor mixed media techniques, gel plates can be so amazing! I really like the gel press brand, easy to use and clean and vegan if thats important to you. the 8x10 size is great because you can still make smaller projects on it but it is just the right size to pretty much make a whole print on a regular 8.5x11 inch page takes all the mediums ive thrown at it well including alcohol inks, oil pastels, acrylic sprays, and obviously acrylic paint. use it to make mono prints with a brayer (id recommend a rubber speedball brayer)

17-11-2024Not sure why, but the plate has large bubble areas so it doesnt print evenly. I tried cleaning it, and that didnt help. Some paint sticks to it, wont come up onto the paper. I am using moderate amounts of Golden fluid acrylics, and none of them are successful. The plate doesnt provide an even base for rolling the paint on. So the paint quantity is uneven though I try spreading it evenly. Other writers have commented on the large bubbles. Sometimes the paint itself creates smaller bubble-like surface as though plate is greasy. Washing the plate (which is difficult) doesnt help. Im glad to read that a few others have had similar issues but wish there were a solution. I may try another brand.

> 3 dayI just had to add this to my craft supplies. After seeing all of the crafting options for the gelpress and the price point was reasonable.
