After 10 years, I opened a lock box for some old documents and keepsakes. Oh, my. I had to take the whole mess outside. First I tried cat litter, while I waited for my activated charcoal bags to arrive. I also aired them in the sun, to little effect. When the bags arrived, I used them generously in a large plastic box with all the items. It started to help the first day but it was about a week to completely clean the smell.

I do not know if they work or not, there is no scent, freshness ?, I’m trying them.

its to the point where you walk into my parents house and ask yourself what that SMELL is. no, not like a yummy smell - its the dreaded old people smell. i tried discreet plug in fresheners, but it actually made it worse, which was just another smell nightmare. then someone told me about charcoal bags. being the simple person i am, i thought they meant cooking charcoal. happily, this was not so, and my visions of large bags of charcoal placed about the house disappeared; to be replaced with these small (but powerful) bags. now i can visit without being haunted by mysterious, and, quite frankly, scary smells. i must remember these when old age comes to my door. you can use these for many smells - pets, cooking, musty closets, people at wal-mart, etc.

Works very well to eliminate odors in the house/closets especially around shoes. I do forget to take them outside regularly to let them bask in the sunshine but its been winter and havent had very many days to do that.

Dislike downsized the product bags are smaller and hold less bamboo charcoal.

The product came quickly enough but truthfully, I do not notice a big difference in air quality in the house. Perhaps it will be better after using the product for a while and then re-energizing in the sun.

Wow these work great everywhere, especially in our constantly humid bathroom. Im from California where we enjoy a dry heat, but moving to Missouri – geeze, this humidity is awful! One area of our house that seems to always feel and smell damp is the bathroom, even though my husband assures me there isnt anything leaking. But man, take a hot shower in the dead of winter and not being able to keep a window open because of the cold... a room needs help drying out. The ceiling exhaust fan doesnt seem to be enough. Its like a sauna in there. So I hung 3 of these around the bathroom and a couple of days later... WHOA! What a difference! They also work great for this one particular pair of shoes of mine that reek. I cant wash them for fear theyll fall apart, so I stuffed one of the smaller bags in each shoe. Again WOW! These things work!

To place in my car and my home. I have 2 inside dogs and a cat. I smoke in my car. I am hoping this freshens both up.
