I havent used this item. It was a graduation gift which was purchased with the expectation that it would arrive several days before the graduation. It was 2 or 3 days late and arrived on the day of the event. The package looks fine, but, if ordering, Id suggest you order far earlier than you need it.

I bought these lights for my college suite and they look amazing! I was worried that the clips werent going to be strong enough to hold 4x6 pictures, but I had no problems at all! The different light settings are fun to experiment with, and I was able to fit all 50 pictures I printed out perfectly on my wall with space in between each one. I was also pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up these lights. The spool the lights come in is super helpful and reduces the risk of any tangles. Highly recommend!

tl;dr - These fairy string lights look great, are easy to put up and take down, and are more than worth the price at $6-$7 per set. The only downside is that the manual doesnt tell what the different light modes are (but Ive detailed what they are below). I would highly recommend this product. For those interested in a lot more detail, read on. This was a very nice product and easy to install. The spool is a great tool that makes putting up the fairy lights SIGNIFICANTLY easier. Ive used other fairy lights before that are just wrapped around essentially a paper towel roll or loose, and they got impossibly tangled as I tried to put them up, requiring a 2nd person just to help manage the wires. I put these lights up by myself, and it was super simple and fast, no fuss. The lights themselves look great. I got the warm white lights which make for good mood lighting as its a gentle light. Be aware that this means they are not bright enough on their own to see any of the hanging pictures clearly, really (unless you loop/layer the lights multiple times maybe). Speaking of the pictures, the photo clips are very thin and light but hold up standard 4x6 photos perfectly well. Just be careful with handling the clips because they feel like they could break easily (but there are plenty of photo clips given anyway, so you likely wouldnt have to worry even if a few did break). If you wanted to hang a larger pic up, you might need to use 2 clips to hold it up. The additional 10ft power cord is really nice, especially if you dont want the fairy lights to lead the way directly to the power source at night. The power cord is pretty conspicuous along the wall in the daylight, though, so you might want to hide it by trailing it along a room corner or behind a beam. The only downside (and a small one at that) to this product was that there were very little instruction and next to no details in the manual about the remote and the light modes. Luckily, putting up the lights is pretty simple and straightforward, so it doesnt require much instruction anyway. It wouldve been really nice if theyd written down what the light modes were, though. As such, Ive taken the liberty to note down the modes here for any future buyers. Mode 1 - cycles through modes 2 through 7 Mode 2 - twinkling Mode 3 - alternating bulbs flash Mode 4 - alternating bulbs dimmer Mode 5 - alternating bulbs strobe and flash Mode 6 - all bulbs dimmer Mode 7 - alternating bulbs strobe Mode 8 - all bulbs on (constant light) Mode 1 cycles through the other modes but for different intervals of time for each mode. I roughly timed the cycles, and over the course of about 3 minutes, Mode 1 seems to cycle through the following: Mode 2 for 25 seconds Mode 3 for 16 seconds Mode 4 for 50 seconds Mode 5 for 25 seconds Mode 6 for 47 seconds Mode 7 for 13 seconds All in all, I would highly recommend this product for a very cute, personal gift or even just for customized light decorations.

Use a small piece of Scotch Magic Tape (even better if you tuck back one side for easier removal later) on the wall, then put the Light Clips above it. It is invisible and strong enough to hold the wire and shouldnt damage the wall. As for the string lights, it does what they should be doing, I have no complaints, especially since the price is so reasonable. I bought both Warm White & Multi Color, and both work just fine!

The glue on the hooks ruin the walls.

This plugs into USB. Did not read that part and have not been able to use product.
