The blue is a pretty, dark, sapphire. The bag itself is a little stiff, yet doesnt feel very padded, especially on the bottom. It does have some padding, but I wouldnt set it down roughly. It also doesnt stand upright on its own like it appears to in the stock photos. If you want more than just a carrying case and more protection for your laptop I would put it in a smaller padded laptop case first. If you simply are looking for a case with handles to facilitate transporting your laptop and dont throw it around this works very well. I am still giving it 5 stars because it seems well made and is as described. It has pockets inside where you could place a charger and mouse, as well as a padded divider in the middle so that you could also transport a tablet or phone, or important documents. It also has a strap inside which can be Velcro-ed to the divider in the middle, in order to keep your computer secure. Overall, its a decent carrying case, and I like thats its lightweight and doesnt add to the overall weight once youve placed your laptop inside. If you have more money to spend you likely could get a much more protective carrying case but if you are on a budget but still want some protection and decent quality this fits the bill. Its fits a Toshiba satellite (a larger laptop) just fine, but a smaller HP Pavilion also fits nicely without moving around too much.
