11-06-2025I had been making my own chopped strand filler for a couple years, but I got a little sick of all the work involved. I saw a video on using chopped fiber for fiberglassing, and I immediately went to Amazon to check it out. The Fasco chopped fiber caught my eye, and I decided to give it a shot. The prices all around Amazon were close to the same, but most of the sellers wanted $15 to $20 bucks shipping! Then I found the Fasco Enterprises site and the chopped fiber was seventeen bucks with free shipping (I am an Amazon Prime member.) It arrived within two days. I immediately went into the shop to try it out. It works SO much better than home-made, and is great for adding strength to joints or molding around complex-shaped objects. I highly recommend Fasco Enterprises ! Their selection, prices and shipping are top notch, and, although Ive only tried the one product from them, I will gladly be working with them again.

> 3 dayExactly what it is supposed to be, good for thickening and adding strength to epoxy resin. Nice consistant size of chop. I recommend adding a little at a time to your epoxy as a little can go a long way.

> 3 dayUsed this to strengthen a thin layer of concrete floor. Did a great job will use again if I do something like that again.

> 3 dayArrived exactly as described and quickly. Mixed with epoxy or polyester resins, used as a super strong filler when large spaces of irregular shapes require large amounts of material.

> 3 dayHowever for what I needed the stiffness of the chop was not what I expected . I used it to thicken epoxy and use for a glue between wood strips. I believe it will do the job. My other option was cotton phlox and fumed silica. The chopped strands made for poor brush on . I opted to make a dip and wet out joint creating a trough of chopped and pressing the whetted strip into the mat and applying to the other whetted strip clamping together. Its all about purpose.

> 3 dayGood way to add structural strength to resin, especially when using it as a filler. Use as needed to obtain the consistency desired to work with. When combined with fumed silica (cabosil) you can make a filler as thick as peanut butter that is also structurally solid.
