> 3 dayPrior to this purchase I had three pressing surfaces available to me. I have a regular ironing board which is too small. I have an ironing board made to give me a larger surface…..but it has a Teflon cover which I hate. It is slow to cool down and I often burn my fingers on the surface when doing detailed work. My favorite surface is a small wool pressing mat. When the Re Art pressing mat came onto my radar, I latched on to someone’s claim that it was a suitable replacement for a wool pressing mat. After a month with it, I can honestly say that I like it better than my ironing board (for size and padding- perfect padding level) and better than my custom made board, partly because the cover on this pad doesn’t hold heat as bad and partly because it is so lightweight. (However, I have found that my table top gets hot and wet under this pad. The heat makes sense, but I am confused by wet as I am using a dry iron.) I absolutely prefer my wool mat for pressing my quilt blocks though (if the are small enough to fit on the tiny thing.). So, where does that leave me? I would buy this item at this price again. Absolutely worth it. It is a good item. However, if I win the lottery, I will at least consider a full sized wool pressing mat.

> 3 dayI am very pleased with this mat. Here is my experience with Amazon regarding my order. On April 7 I ordered my mat. It had a flaw in the material, a snag/run, that I believed would only get worse. I contacted Amazon through the app on the 15th, asking for a replacement. It was only a short time and I received an email from Amazon to return to my choice of location and that a replacement was ordered. I chose Kohl’s and on the 16th, I returned it there. Today is the 17th of April and my replacement mat came this morning. I am very happy with this mat from ReArt Store, Amazon Prime and Kohl’s for making this so easy and hassle free. To tell you the truth I was going to just keep the defective mat and deal with it. I am so glad I contacted Amazon and together with Kohl’s I have a perfect mat. Hope this long winded review helps someone who is sitting on the fence about purchasing. I believe the quality is just as good as a brand name mat.

Greater than one weekSo happy to have found this. Wish Id had it years ago. I cant fit an ironing board in my crowded sewing room. This fits perfectly on top of my sideboard cabinet (waist high), turning it into an ironing board while Im quilting. When Im done, it folds up easily for storing away. Nice 1/2 thickness, and the top is the same as the bottom (reversible). I felt underneath the pad while using it, and the cabinet didnt feel overheated at all. Works great.
