I have the power supply that came with my Lenovo P73 laptop, but it is always handy to have a backup or a second location. Saves having to carry your power supply everywhere. Works flawlessly.

I dont use my Thinkpad P50 as much since getting a new job with a more powerful/modern laptop, but its still around for some consulting work and occasional use in my workshop. I wanted to have a spare adapter in the workshop for the times I want to use the bigger screen and my software load on this system over there. It does what it says it does, keeps the p50 going with 64GB RAM and an extra SSD, and I have no complaints.

I bought this as a backup charger for my P50, and it has so far been a great travel charger. Slightly lighter than the stock charger but I wouldnt want it to be too light so Im not complaining. As a backup or replacement, this is a great option.

Somehow our Thinkpad chargers keep being left behind so this one came handy. Works as intended, but is a big brick.

Lightening charger for both my phone and laptop. Love how fast it works!

When you are getting a new laptop charger it is expected that they work right out of the box, and this one does that. This is a Lenovo Rectangle yellow tip charger, a VERY common newer standard, used on most recent Lenovo laptops, monitors and even all in one computers. This charger is 170W which means it will be able to give the juice to almost anything out there, even the most demanding all in one computer or gaming laptop. It will basically run anything that needs a lenovo rectangle yellow tip jack even the most powerful computer or docking station. Having an extra charger is really good. You can keep one in the main place you use your laptop and keep your original in the laptop bag so you don’t have to wrap it up when you need to go mobile. I keep one plugged in by the sofa in the living room, where I sit and surf while watching TV, but my original one is in my laptop bag…. It is always better to get a charger that is designed for your laptop. Those universal chargers are a bad idea, they can put out different voltages and can harm your computer, also the interchangeable tips have a lot of issues. When you buy a charger there are three things you need to look for. 1. Tip, make sure the tip is exactly the side and length you want. 2. Make sure the voltage is exactly correct. If you laptop wants 19V then feed it 19V, more or less could cause damage. 3. Make sure the watts are more than enough. If your laptop calls for 65W it is OK and actually better to feed it more watts. It will only feed your laptops what it can handle. The main drawback to a charger with more watts is that it is bigger and heavier. If you get a charger that is smaller it will charge slower and may not even charge at all. Most gaming laptops need much more power than standard chargers and this 170W AC charger is enough to charge 99% of all Lenovo rectangle tip laptops out there.

I do like older Thinkpads and have my T440p in a docking station with a couple monitors. A docking station requires more power than a standard 90 watt power brick. This item does the trick. So nice to see that older Thinkpads are still supported by 3rd party accessory manufacturers.

Tried to use this on a Lenovo Thinkpad P52. Using the PC for music production with a USB Focusrite 8i6 going to JBL studio monitors. Bought just as a backup. It seems to work as an adapter, BUT it causes a hum through my exterior speakers, no hum when I use the original adapter, so I’m returning it.

Ive been in a charger bind for a while now, the plastic was wearing away by the port and there were obvious connectivity issues because Id have to jiggle the cord to get a charge. I was avoiding buying a new one because theyre so expensive, I was really glad to find one that was made for my lenovo (but not with the lenovo brand name and price). This works like it should, and no more jiggling. Woohoo!

I picked up an old Lenovo T 450 as refurbished. Since Im not a gamer all I basically need is a reliable well-made home base computer. The t 450 originally came out 6-7 years ago. Its all I need. I always get a backup power supply to have in case earlier ones become hard to find. This is a good solid unit and it will serve me well.
