17x13.5 Wool Pressing Mat for Quilting, 100% Wool from New Zealand, Portable Felted Wool Ironing Mat with a Silicon Iron Rest Pad

I am thrilled that I no longer need to drag out my big old ironing board when I need to iron smaller pieces of fabric for my sewing and crafting projects. I love it! I wish I knew about this gem sooner.

Recently took up quilting and this wool pad is just what I needed.

I use this for quilting project. Easy to use, Love it!

Love it! Convenient, especially being able to do quick ironing beside sewing machine.

This works great! I read reviews and was worried about smell but I dont smell anything. And it doesnt leave residue on my iron. Maybe their irons were too hot or maybe they left the iron in one spot for too long? I dont know. But it works wonderfully with my mini iron.

I had never heard of a wool pressing mat before although I have been sewing for 60+ years. Old dog, new tricks? I have used it in the construction of quilt patches and also in mask construction. That has been the extent of my sewing since receiving the mat, but I am hooked. I wish I could remember where I learned of wool mats, so I could thank them as well

I really like the product. I like having the pressing mat right by my sewing machine for when I am piecing.

Now that I have used my mat and have learned a little more, I really like it. Use a dry iron. Steam doesnt work so well.

Now I dont have to set my ironing board up!

Do not use iron rest on any other surface than wool mat. Wish there were instructions. I used it on the wool mat and really liked it. I now realize I was foolish, but I put very thick layers of cotton tea towels under the rest to see if heat would travel through to my cutting mat, left iron ~15 sec. and my mat was warped when I checked it. Worse case I expected to be warm. But better that than my kitchen counter! I’m very happy with this reasonable priced wool mat, and the iron rest when used on the pad. I am looking at getting the larger size as well.
