18 Silly Snail, Animal Hand Puppet, Ventriloquist Style

Its obvious this puppet has gone up in price in just weeks ($24.99 to $35.99) likely due to the recent popularity of ventriloquism on the AGT show. I bought it for my young one, but I thought Id give it a go - and to my surprise, the throat is rather narrow and the mouth is very small for an adult hand. I didnt want to stretch it out, so I didnt play with it and just tucked it away for Christmas. It is very soft, the colors are vibrant, and the antennae are pose-able! My little one will enjoy this. If you are purchasing for a teen, be aware if your teen is more adult-sized - this puppet may be too small for his/her arm or hand. The snail arrived in plastic wrap in a cardboard box in the 2 days specified in Prime.

This puppet is awesome! I have big hands and the puppet fits fine. The quality is great! Looks like a Jim Henson puppet. Would highly recommend

This puppet has posable antennae and if you work at it, you can soften the hard mouth that gives Silly Snail his stiff upper lip making him even more expressive than he already is. I considered doing a little puppet surgery to remove or replace the board, but Silly Snail told me that he only would allow a board certified surgeon to make modifications. This snail has the amazing ability to retract almost entirely inside his shell leaving only the eyes visible from the outside. I also easily attached an inexpensive rod to his hand to make him a fully animated hit for my shows.

We love the fun appearance of the snail. He is easy to operate. You can even give him different facial expressions by manipulating the sides of his mouth. It does fit alittle tight on my arm. We have fun with this puppet. The quality of this puppet is very nice.

Love that guy.. He will be traveling with me where ever I go.

If you are in the market for a snail puppet this is your man. He is many levels of dope. Hes my favorite of the Silly Puppets and I have quite a few.
