If you have garbage disposal in your kitchen sink, you need a strainer like this. In fact, you need two. It keeps things from falling into the disposal that shouldnt go into it, and thus keeps the user from having to reach into the disposal to get those things out. These strainers are stainless steel, so they do well in the dishwasher. Thats good, because, if cheese gets into the mesh, its hard to get it out without putting it into the dishwasher. Having two means that you never have to leave that gaping hole open in your sink.

I have two sink drains, so these are perfect for catching food scraps that get past me when I’m washing dishes.

This is much easier to clean out than a previous one I had that was more of a cone shaped mesh. Nice looking and so glad I replaced my former one.

Easy to clean

We live on a 53 sailboat and to keep things out of our bilge (an area where water runs and is pumped out automatically) we needed these. Before buying these it was pretty much go through a roll of paper towels to pre clean every plate, pan or pot. Now we wash it all, the clean drain strainer. I will be buying more!

So much better then the one I had prior....this was 2 for what I paid for 1 that had fallen apart
