Ive been needing a retractable tape measure for my purse and this fits the bill. I saw some of the reviews saying that the pink tape starts after 2 inches, but mine doesnt. Maybe I got lucky. My only complain with the pink tape is that measuring less than three quarters of an inch is impossible because the head covers that portion of the tape.

If you need to verify you are buying the right size when shopping for new clothing from a new brand, these are great. Be gentle when pulling out the retractable tape measure, though, due to the plastic mechanism.
