Have not seen this cord since 2005-2008 readily available. Multiple devices have used this technology namely SONY prior to the USB cable network popularized today. Works well with a sound bar from Insignia that didn’t work properly via Bluetooth or another device. Inexpensive and works well for the time being. Like that two were included in the box. Sound bar has two plug ins so you can attach to Sony PlayStation if desired

I ordered this for my older stereo receiver and the first of the 2 cords worked well (I haven’t tried the second one). The quality is cheap, but the price is low, so it seems fine to me in that regard. However, I did want to note that my package came with a strange white unmarked USB device enclosed and no additional documentation stating what the purpose of the device is. I haven’t used it (and don’t plan to, as it’s very suspicious) but wanted to make others aware. I’ve included a picture of my second unused cord and the USB device.

I purchased these Xrmai 2 PCS Digital Optical Audio Cables becauseI have 2 Sound bars I needed to connect via digital optically and only 1 optical port. These are 6ft long, so they’re long enough. They are not very thick; however the sound quality is really good. Overall a good quality product.

At the heart of these is a plastic fiber that operates as an optical cable / light tube. You can get really fancy looking ones that cost a lot, but the heart of all the units have the same special clear plastic fiber to transmit light pulses. There are no wires in any of these - just a plastic fiber. These units work great.

As long as this the cheapest one on Amazon, the quality is not bad.
