This laptop is great. My only complaint, which took off one to for my rating, is any time I hover my finger over the TouchPad, it acts like Im clicking on it.

Computer stopped working about a month before the warranty expired. It would not turn out at all. Sent it in for warranty repair and they claimed it was water damage. I dont take the laptop anywhere. I put it in a safe place when not in use. Went on Reddit and saw threads discussing this issue. This is my 3 and last laptop Ill buy from Acer!

The entire item is fully equipped with Americanisms that are all but impossible to decode in Australia. Ever since the day it arrived here, I have been at a loss to comprehend the nonsense one has to do, to be able to do ANYTHING. It seems that EVERYTHING has to have an uneccessary password and if you dont have one, then you have to apply to have a sequence of numbers sent to you and you have a very short space of time with which to apply those numbers, in place of a password. If it wasnt for the fact that I had paid a few hundred dollars for that junk, it would have felt the wrath of my hammer band earned itself a space in the garbage bin.So, now Im pondering on what to do with it. Amazon is totally blamed for selling that Americanised rubbish here in Australia.....AND SO IS ACER to blame, more so than America. Amazon must stop selling that American rubbish in Australia.I have 12 blu-ray movies that cannot be played because they are labelled with the letter A. I cant play them, even though I have two ALL REGION PLAYERS.....NONE OF THE BLU-RAYS WILL PLAY ON EITHER OF THEM. ONE HAS TO APPLY THE PASSWORD AND THEN, APPLY FOR A CODE, WHICH ALSO HAS TO BE APPLIED, ALONG WITH THR PASSWORD. THIS CODE IS SENT TO YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS, WHICH MEANS LEAVING THE ACCESS PAGE TO GO TO YOUR E-MAIL PAGE. ON DOING SO, ONE AUTOMATICALLY LOSES THE LOG ON PAGE. IT IS TOTALLY WORTHLESS.

I had this computer for 5 months when it started falling apart. The top of the lid began separating from the bottom of the lid and one of the hinges broke. It was still under warranty, so I sent the computer to their repair center in Texas. Shipping and insurance cost $80. Got it back 3 weeks later. Seemed fine. But in two weeks, the exact same thing happened in the same spot that had been repaired. Called Acer. The told me to send it back at my own expense and theyd repair it. I told them they hadnt repaired it properly and what they needed to do was send me a replacement computer and a prepaid mailing label so I could return the broken one. They are taking that under consideration and promised to get back to me. I will update this review when they do.
