With my first baby, I had purchased a similar baby mat and I had to get rid of it because my baby did not like laying on the mat itself, mainly because it was so rough and even made my skin itchy. I still use the same laundry detergent and bought this one for my second one. The huge difference is the fabric. The fabric on this mat is so much more softer and truly is made of a velvety fabric that is super soft. Even after washing and drying everything, all items are still just as soft as ever. Even my first child laid on this mat and said it was soft. My baby absolutely loves this mat. The mat is padded very well and the pillow on this allows me to put my baby on their belly without having their face in the mat but rather helps keep them up. The toys on this are washable as well and match the whole beach theme.

This play gym/mat is great for all ages of babies, especially 0-1 years. It is very well made & comes with lots of different toys, so baby is never bored. It has a jungle theme, which can be gender neutral too. Love it overall & for the price too!

No need for bells, whistles, flashing lights… this is just a very lovely simplistic activity gym perfect for my little newborn that will grow as baby starts to develop fine motor skills, becomes aware of objects such as the adorable little plush toys. develops hand eye coordination with the toys, feels the crinkleness of the little adorable animal print papers & the colors and pictures. The colors are calming and subtle, works for boy or girl! I think it’s important to expose little ones to a variety of colors! This was easy assembly with foam arches mat is machine washable tumble dry low. The mat is quilted but not very thick so depending on your floors you may want to place it on top of a blanket or quilt for added thickness especially for newborns or very young infants. Overall I really am happy with this baby activity gym. A really good buy!

This play mat is super cute! Love all the bright colors and the fabric is soft and nice for baby. The price is a little on the high end, so maybe look out for when it has a discount. Overall would make a really nice baby shower gift too!

Cute little tummy time toy for babies. Soft and colorful. Easy to put together and doesn’t take up too much space. It’s simple but my baby enjoys it.

I like this little play mat. The colors are vibrant and keep babys attention. The crescent shaped moon pillow is a nice bonus. I like the fact that some of the toys rattle, and they can come off their rings so we can put them on the baby carrier or stroller. I think this is a great playmat for your newborn/infant.
