Easy to install & perfect fit for 1999 Honda Accord

My 2002 Honda Accord needed new lift supports for the hood because it wouldnt stay up. I ordered these, and they arrived quickly. Installation was pretty easy and straightforward. They work and fit just like OEM, but you need to install both of them. One cant hold the hood up so make sure you brace the hood during installation.

If one is worn,the hood will drop. Replace them both.

These lift supports were very easy to install. One word of caution is loosening the retainer clips. When prying them loose, be careful not to loosen to far as the clip will either pop out or get sideways. Loosen the clip evenly until the ball socket is completely cleared to allow it to fit over the ball joint. I didn’t do this on one of them and it took forever to realign it. Also, if you don’t have something to hold your hood up while doing this, get a helper. Other than that, this process should really take about 10 minutes. These supports are very solid and should last a long time.
