I needed to purchase this item because the one that came with my Ring battery operated cam broke off at the base when I was swapping out the battery. It was two years old at the time. This BFYTN version looks to be well made and is structurally a close copy. Im hoping it is materially stronger than the previous one.

The ring cameras dont allow you to invert the video, so you have to mount them right side up, but at an angle. The ones that come with the camera dont allow that, so you can buy the more expensive brand ones or use these. Yes, they are pretty cheaply made, but they get the job done and are easy to install and maneuver.

I used this mount with UniFi Protect G3 Instant cameras and it worked great. I used this to install them from the ceiling and it worked much better than the oem mount. I wish there was a way to run the cable inside the mount, but its easy to run along the backside and zip tie to it. Its great for battery powered cameras, but still works great with cameras being powered externally. The part that tightens the ball socket seems like it could break if you put too much force on it, however I was able to tighten it just fine by hand and it seems sturdy.

I like that it can be rotated easily to get the right area of view.

Cheap and easy to install. Perfect product.
