Ive tried a good amount of feeding tong products but none compare to the value you get when purchasing this pack. Some stores will sell a single pair for more! I highly recommend these! None of my reptiles have the capacity to break them (yet) so I can only attest to the strength to hold up feeding adult bearded dragons, aquatic turtles, baby monitors and several river monster fish species. I highly recommend this pack!

It was exactly what I was looking for and long enough that I dont have to stick my hands in the cage

As for sturdiness I would give them a 3.5 not as low as 3 but not quite a 4. They are able to withhold a lot of biting (I understand this should not happen but my gecko was a rescue and VERY aggressive) and lasts for about 7 months. They are slightly off-set so one end is slightly forward while the other is centered. You can still pick up everything you need with it but for precision you have to pay more attention *slightly* this is my second pair I ordered. The other issue I’ve had with the tongs have been the adhesive between the two prongs on the tongs. It seems to be a glue of sorts that sticks it together- not built together with a screw or the metal itself. This means that if you accidentally pinch for a worm or bug and the off-set print goes too far forward this could lead to the tongs almost scissoring. This happened to me and it broke the adhesive to the tongs. I suppose you could glue them back using some hot glue or Velcro possibly a screw if it doesn’t ruin the mobility of the tongs somehow etc but it would be something to worry about in the future if you are looking for long term usage. Otherwise completely perfect and withheld a lot of damage. Use age for me was about 7 worms a night and 16 every other night. Then went up to 12 every other night and 16 every other with 8 every night. And has gone up since. They are sturdy. I am just a reptile maniac.

My 11-year-old grandson was allowed to shop on my Amazon account as a birthday gift. He had just received a corn snake and picked this to aid in feeding the snake. He is delighted with this because it did exactly what he wanted. It told me it was perfect, strong and solid.

has a good grip on the mouse and bugs which is awesome, also allows good distance between my hand and the snakes and reptiles. good job.
