I didnt detect any scent, the pads have never fallen apart , and they last for months. Can be tossed in the dishwasher to disinfect. They are particularly good in removing residue and stains from non-stick pans --one can scrub hard without scratching the pans (which are not always as non-stick as advertised).

My wife has made me order these for years and I didnt really understand why; I just trusted her. However, recently Ive been washing all the dishes and we ran out of these sponges. I had to resort to a new but traditional sponge we had under the sink for backup....it sucked...horribly. I then realized the difference and why my wife was so adamant about buying Dobies. They flex and bend better to get into corners, cracks, and hard to reach places. Their abrasive surface more adequately removes stuck on food and carbon, while never removing the coatings, if by chance you have a cheap Teflon pan or something in your arsenal. A normal sponge, even with the scouring pad attached, cant really compare - being so dense, they gunk up too quickly and are rendered useless. But, not with Dobies. They are easy to clean and hold up longer than any sponges Ive used, and Ive been washing dishes since I was 8 years old. They are so good, I actually took time to write this review and poem in their praise. Arrived in great shape and earlier than promised. I was very happy with my purchase.

This is the best cleaning “sponge”. The cover keeps the sponge in great shape while scrubbing off anything. Easy to wash in dishwasher, hot sudsy water, or spray with Clorox cleanup to keep fresh & sanitary. Much sturdier than a conventional sponge even one with a scouring side. Doesn’t roll up or get hard. I use them on dishes, pots & pans & glasses - no scratching … and on any washable surface. Stuff stuck on a bit - just soak in hot sudsy water & comes off like a breeze. I also use with Comet to clean sinks & tubs. Plus other cleaners for any other surface. Holds up extremely well depending on how rough the surface cleaned is - a dish vs concrete or rough metal. Cost well worth them - the combination is unbeatable. Highly highly recommend.

Ive used these for years and they are a no fail item. You use them, hard, and they last. Just be sure you squeeze them out completely before letting them finish air drying and you are good to go.

Dobie pads do not smell or get moldy like other brands. I have been using Dobie to wash my dishes for years and they are very durable. They will be cut if you slice them with a knife though.

Have been using these for a few years now. They last well, clean all types of pots, pans, dishes. They have also been used for cleaning tires and rims. Does not scratch.

The Dobie is a handy item to use to help with washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms, etc. I like to use it in the kitchen and put it in the dishwasher to refresh when needed. The Dobie does not scratch dishes, glasses, etc.; it given that extra scouring needed to assist with baked on food, greasy pans, etc. I would highly recommend this product. I would be lost without it.
