Wonderful starter set but if you are using a program such as Stitch Express, it does not recognize the set of 40. The closest I could get was the Brother set of 63, so I am constantly changing colors in the program and again on the machine for those I missed.

No red thread...what is up with that? Thread is durable and sews well.

Just starting out with embroidery and this is the perfect thread to start building my collection.

Im brand new at machine embroidery and, as you can see from my first two projects, practicing on old placemats. I am very pleased with this embroidery thread. The colors are gorgeous and shiny. They came with little mesh sleeves to keep them from unravelling. I cut the sleeves in half so I could cover more spools. I think the set of 40 is the perfect size to begin with. Ive tried several designs built in to my Brother PE800 and had all the colors I needed.
