The pictures of the strands show them with each of the designs on each strand, Mermaid, jellyfish, starfish and seashells patterned throughout. Thats not the case. It came with 4 separate strands, one for each of the designs. Would have liked it much better if they were patterned together on one strand instead of a string of mermaids a string of seashells, etc... The pictures are misleading and I wouldnt have bought it if I had known.

This holographic set is so cute. I like three out of the four strings. The ocean theme can work for a lot of things but the mermaid one just seems extremely childish and is limited and annoying. Also the mermaid is some fancy detailed shape which makes it hard to easily discern what the heck it is it is when hanging and also makes it almost impossible to unravel without the entire thing tangling as there are SO MANY places for string to catch on the stupid mermaids. : ( (Seriously – it was so tangled I almost chucked that strand – but after man, many minutes of working it I was able to untangle.) The rest really had no problem unraveling to use and even raveling back up. Instead of trashing the dumb mermaid strand – I instead gave that one to my 9-year-old neighbor to hang in her bedroom. I got these to go with another mermaid themed birthday set I had. Decorated around the house for my friend’s birthday and it turned out very pretty. The colors shift as they flutter with air currents from the fan or air conditioner, changing to different bright colors, very eye catching. Price is not bad for the number of garlands. I actually didn’t finish using all of them yet. If you’re using it to hang from the ceiling like they showed it in the product picture, you’ll easily use these up for one setting. I used them along the windows and stairs, the length from 3 of them were all I needed. The iridescent metallic color can go with different color themes and seem very versatile. The mermaid, jellyfish and seashell cutouts make this garland set perfect for a summer beach themed party decoration.

These were super cute for my daughter’s mermaid birthday party. The product listing does look more 3D but I saw in reviews or the description that they weren’t. Regardless they were good quality and looked great. Each design was in its own packet and magically weren’t all tangled up. It was easy to straighten them out and cut to the length I wanted. Perfect decoration around her cake!
