40 Spools Polyester Embroidery Machine Thread

Update: my machine was broken. The thread works great now! Good colors but the thread broke over and over again.

Do not fail to read the very last line of the product description...as I failed to do. Based on the picture of the product I had expected to receive the spool stand with the order, but it is not included. However, the thread appears to be very good quality, well suited for the purpose and still worthy of a four star rating.

Not your tiny spools of thread. Just the right size and the right price to have one in every color !

i bought these about a year ago, right after getting my Brother SE400 machine. I kept noticing that my embroidery projects would be hit-or-miss; some would come off without a hitch, while others would result in broken threads and needles, and “bird nests” on the underside of the fabric. Finally, after a particular frustrating, two hour experience with the orange thread fraying, breaking every 100 or so stitches, and getting tangled up in my machine, I finally gave up. I cleaned out my new machine of stray threads, threaded up the machine with a spool of Gütermann thread, and embroidered right over the attempted stitches made with the Embroidex thread. Some have had luck using this thread on their Brother machines after cleaning and adjustments, but after this experience (and the perfect results I always seem to get with Gütermann and Sulky threads) I have to think that this thread and my machine are not a good match.

I didnt know if I really needed this when I purchased my embroidery machine, but boy am I glad I did!! The colors in this set are awesome! They are bright & high quality. It is a great beginners set because it has all the colors, different shades!

I dont have any problems using a competitors thread of the same type and size, but every spool of this thread I have tried using (10) has broken in my machine. I am very disappointed. I would not recommend this for use with the Brother SE400.
