20-11-2024Bought these to put in my ammo cans to keep everything dry. So far so good. I live in Florida where humidity is high, especially during hurricane season when power goes out and everything gets damp. So, these should help keep everything dry.

> 3 dayWhen I don’t quite fill the jar, these help to pull out that extra oxygen that makes food I’m trying to preserve go stale. Or when I’m working my way through a jar but it will be months before it is finished. Nice size.

> 3 dayI got these to try and dry out a headlight on my car that had moisture in it. I wasnt sure about what size to get. This was the perfect size to roll up and stuff through a lightbulb socket. I rolled a few up with a rubber band around each and put them in a nylon stocking so I could easily get them back out through the lightbulb socket. It ends up I think my headlight unit isnt sealed properly because more water gets in when it rains, so Ill have to take the whole thing out and caulk it up or something.

> 3 dayPleasantly surprised by the size of the bag. I got more than I thought I was going to get once I started reading the instructions. According to them, if they get really saturated they turn yellow. Another way you can check them is by weighing them, once the weight is 40% greater than the original weight they are exhausted, they come in at 5.8 grams, so you should change them at about 8.12 grams, of course this means each packet should be able to absorb a couple grams of water. They also say a humidity indicator card is a good way to check, and when the humidity exceeds 30% they are spent. Finally, last thing about the instructions, they also say you can reactivate them! This is done by using an oven or a microwave on defrost. Awesome.

> 3 dayI kind of stumbled across these gel packets, which I have tried to find but didnt know what to call them. I had some from a few products that came with them and saved them to use in crackers and peanut containers. Great to have new ones that I can easily replace when they no longer work. They change color when the drying agent is exhausted and can be recharged with a microwave.
