> 3 dayWhen I don’t quite fill the jar, these help to pull out that extra oxygen that makes food I’m trying to preserve go stale. Or when I’m working my way through a jar but it will be months before it is finished. Nice size.

> 3 dayIn short: it works and keeps bread fresh. No more mold. Buy this product. I ran across this product while searching for reasons my bread gets moldy so quickly. I’ve wasted so much money on bread that I needed a solution. I’ve tried storing bread in a kitchen drawer, pantry and breadbox. Storing bread in the fridge extended the shelf life but the bread was dried out AND soggy in spots. Weird. With this product, my bread has stayed FRESH on the counter for over a week so far. One packet placed in a 24oz loaf solved the problem. The product description states you can reuse the packets but I don’t think I’ll do that. It seems odd to reuse a product that absorbs food moisture. Very happy with this purchase!

> 3 dayWhile reading about food preservation, I read about the silicone packs. So I decided to buy some and use them in my dry goods canisters to prevent moisture and to preserve the food better. I just got it, but I am sure I will be very happy with it. Great for long-term shelf life of your dry food products such as pasta, beans, flour, rice.

> 3 dayIf you need something dry, you cant go wrong with these. I put these inside my sugar container which always draws moisture from the air because of the high humidity area I live in. I also put one in Lemonade mix, Salt, and Popcorn Seasoning to dry these out. They work fast, and with them being rechargeable you get more than one use out of them. I havent had to recharge one yet, but if that part works as good as the original experience, I see many years of use. I plan on putting some in my tool boxes also. The company should consider making sandbags for flood zones. These things really suck up the moisture.

Greater than one weekThough these are primarily meant to help keep moisture out of dry food, I found they work very well with fresh items like produce. I used to put a paper towel in open bags of lettuce, broccoli, mushrooms, etc. I’ve found that two or three of these work to keep the items from getting soggy. The number included in the bag make it easy to switch them out as needed. Recharging was as simple as putting them in a 200 degree oven for 30 minutes. When the time went off, I shut off the oven and let them sit for another hour. I could tell by the way they felt before and after that they dried out. Since these are the food grade packets they won’t change color but I didn’t find that to be a problem. I just keep the used ones in a container until there’s enough to dry.
