I know nothing about these except that my husband was very happy to find these on Amazon. They fit his old sander perfectly.

This was working on my BDERO100 for less than 1 hour and broke.

Put it on and this happened in the first two minutes of use. The plastic is not heavy duty enough screws were just snug and had locking washers on them so they weren’t over tightened.

I used this replacement pad for 5 minutes before bthe screws that hold the pad ripped through the plastic. Aweful product

Look it is a good value since the OEM replacement is almost 30.00 and new sander is 60.00. Unfortunately the one I received did not match the picture. The screw holes were slightly off and it completely lacked the alignment holes used to line up 4 protruding nubs on the sanders main faceplate. I re-drilled the screw holes and added the nub holes using the old faceplate as a template. Quality is fine but the picture did not match what I received. It does come with a nice supply of sandpaper so even if you dont get a perfect fit it isnt a total waste.

This base plate/pad is nearly an exact replica of the OEM base plate/pad on my vintage RO100 orbital sander. This is not the replacement part number that B&D specifies for this sander, but I took a chance that it had to be close. Well, it is nearly identical. It fit onto the sander and operates perfectly. The included sanding discs were a bonus! So, bottom line for all you Do-It-Yourselfers is if you have an old sander of similar type to the RO100, you may find that this pad is a suitable replacement. It includes 4 screw holes, 4 alignment stub holes, and 8 vent holes. I bought another base plate/pad from another Amazon vendor. It too fit but I had to drill 4 small holes for the alignment stubs. Not a big deal, but this plate/pad already has all of the proper holes. Buy it! I cant really comment about reliability or longevity because I just bought it. Ill try to comment at a later date.

The holes on the sanding platen wore through after using one time. I s made of cheap plastic.
