My little boy is a BIG drooler and spits up a bit my saving grace has been those over sized burp clothes that go on as bibs too. Just a suggestion. I really love these but i dont really use them as burp clothes anymore.

While I cannot attest to their absorbency yet, I will say they are softer and thicker than I anticipated. When I took them out of the package I thought I would buy these again as a gift.
