The 12x12x1/8 works very well for my purpose. I do a lot of reading & make notes & highlighting in paperback & hardback books. Ive been using a 9x12 clipboard back to rest books on my lap to make it easier to do this. I finally realized that the 9 width wasnt enough, so got this 12x12 aluminum plate. It really works very well for me. It would have been appreciated if the manufacturer had removed some of the sharp edges, yet it was very easy to do this with a file. Now I can run my fingers along all edges and feel nothing sharp.

Sturdy

Those sheets are perfect, I did have a small dent in one of them but that’s mostly happened in shipping.

I bought this to be an indestructable divider for my gerbils aquarium (they eat everything). I measured the width of the aquarium from the outside and it was almost perfect. But I should have measured the width inside the glass. It was a smidgen too narrow.
