It is rechargeable and has a fast-charging time at 4 to 5 hours with a DC 5V-2A power adapter for the 5V-2A USB port which also allows you to charge your other electronic devices. The fan runs quietly with 3 speed, and it also has 2 light mode options, bright or dim. The fan can be used without the light and the same goes for the light without the fan. There is also a built-in timer that can be set for 1 hr. 3 hrs. or 5 hours. I tell you this fan is something else, it has a 3.1-inch clip size so you can clip it on to chairs, tables and even tents. Or you can hang it by its hook, it is so versatile. Both the base and the fan can both rotate 360 degrees and I just love this fan and that its portable and guess what else? It has a remote.
