> 24 hourNever heard of agitator dogs but my daughter broke my agitator from overloading it (it spun both ways). Looking back it was half way broken for years! You should be able to turn the top of the agitator an inch and it should instantly catch on the bottom and only turn one way. If not something is wrong. When I took off the top of the agitator (the fabric softener part) I just saw little bits of broken plastic and no dogs. The fix was easy and there is just one bolt to unscrew. I pulled the whole agitator out and it took me longer to clean out all of the grease /crud/ things you dont want to see that was under it than putting it back together. Getting it back together took me a few tries. For some reason the top would not sit low enough so I had to fiddle with it and try a few positions till it was right. Take a close look at the agitator before you take it apart to see how low it should sit and how it goes back together. Maybe 15-20 min for a first time (with half of that cleaning crud) and $5 is the best repair bargain out there.

> 24 hourI am constantly amazed at what Youtube DIY videos and cheap parts from Amazon has enabled average folks to do...siphoning business and overpriced services away from appliance repairmen. We have a 20 year old Whirlpool washer. Its a workhorse and if it died tomorrow wed have absolutely no reservations about buying a new replacement. However, while Im able to keep it (and the matching 20 year old dryer) going inexpensively with a home repair here and there, thats what were doing. The agitator was clearly slipping, and barely getting movement of the clothes in the washer. After some investigation online, it was clear that these dogs needed to be replaced. I ordered them on Saturday, and Amazon had them in my hands Sunday afternoon. Before the end of the day, the agitator was working good as new. Amazing!

> 24 hourTook care of business. Old dogs were totally shot and the clothes just fibrillated. Now they truly are agitated.

> 24 hourSuper easy to install after only watching a few minutes of YouTube videos. All you need to do is remove the fabric softer dispenser (if equipped) and remove cap that hides the 7/16 bolt holding the agitator in place. Once removed you can clean out the old plastics of the broken agitator dogs and replace them with these and reinstall in revise order. I am by no means an appliance technician but I am a computer systems engineer and found this to be very simple to install. If you can follow a video instruction and have a basic tool set you can do this yourself!

> 24 hourJust a wife tired of adding to the husbands honey do list that never gets done. So I googled what was going on with my washer and figured it looked simple enough to fix. It WAS! I did it on my own! Just make sure to put them all in the right direction!! Lol I put one in opposite without realizing it and couldn’t figure out why it was making the grinding noise. After 3-4x of on and off, I finally figured it out! Felt like a million bucks during these tough times!!! Had some issues with Amazon delivery but the seller was super awesome and made sure I got my order! Super appreciated!
