I use these with crochet thread, and yarn, so being smooth is a BIG deal to me, and these are nice and smooth, even at the joining point, which means the yarn and thread dont get caught/snagged, and they are easy to crochet onto.

I enjoyed using these for crocheted dreamcatchers. The hoops are sturdy and shiny.
