I own many memory sticks as they are very useful tools. We are always transferring files, photos or other data. I build computers and I use USB memory sticks to transfer hardware drivers and install BIOS updates to new computers I have built. The A-DATA is nice because it is 16 GB and has enough memory space to store all of your photos or home videos and still hold other data. I also like the thumb slide to extend the USB connection and the fact that it is protected inside the case for carrying in your pocket. The slide out feature is nice because I own several memory sticks that dont have this feature and I am always looking for the drive caps. This memory stick also features a lifetime warranty. It is a good product with a good price. Lots of memory space, easy to carry, self storing USB connector. I have used it on 8 computers without any issues.

Lasted about 20 uses before the sliding mechanism broke. Now, the USB connector doesnt stay extended so you cant plug it in. Other ADATA drives with fixed USB connectors continue to work fine.

I bought this drive on a Thursday, but Saturday, it broke. I could no longer plug it in. I bought it to store mp3 files. I copied about 20 GB of music, then it quit copying, Even though it kept showing the files copied in Win 7, once unplugged. They would disappear. I used a brand new PC with it. Same deal. I had to reformatted at least six times to finally be able to copy half its size 16GB. Pure junk, Used a Scan Disk from my job to see if it was me. The scan disk drive worked flawlessly. Again Im a Sys Admin, stay away from this junk. Too bad, I had a 16 GB ADATA drive that has been working for years. I guess they dont make them good anymore.

This device actually does not perform all that consistently or well. It can be unpredictably slow and often reports problems to Windows which pops the do you want to scan this for errors warning. It seems impervious to correctly reporting what its doing if write-caching is enabled.
