> 24 hourDark dark satire, as people start to use his obvious disdain in all things English against them. Still, his writing of this short article cannot be ignored, as the Irish suffered terribly under the English. I bought this to understand something I always knew. I just wanted it in writing. Its a good piece of work. Sadly weaponized often in politics

> 24 hourSatire is one of my favorite forms of writing, and this book does not disappoint. As ludicrous as the proposal is, it is presented in a way that almost convinces the reader that the author is proposing a valid and logical solution to a complicated problem. Jonathan Swift was way ahead of his time, both in ideas and talent.

> 24 hourInsightful, witty, and clever. Being a new parent and wholly deprived of sleep, I must admit he makes some excellent points...

> 24 hourjust a short review. absolutely amazing satire. even if youre not into satire from the 1700s, jonathan swift makes a plausable case for the consumption of useless babies (which i totally agree with). anything that curbs the population explosion is a plus in my book. even gives you recipe ideas along with the proposal, and talks about lazy 15 year old girls. (as an aside was mentioned in a sealab 2021 episode but not explained)

> 24 hourThis was my first exposure to sarcasm in literature. I remember reading it and being ex-Catholic, found it especially funny. It still delivers.
