The memory is used for upgrading the speed and capacity of an older MacMini computer. Amazing increase in speed.

These were purchased to max out the RAM in a late 2014 Apple iMac 5K desktop to 32GB. I had been having issues with freeze ups and lagging network connectivity. After troubleshooting and resetting PRAM and taking other first-line remedies, I suspected the amount existing RAM (16GB) was insufficient for my remote workflow and the graphics intensive applications I use daily. The chips were VERY easy to install and immediately improved the performance of the machine. No more freeze ups, faster networking connectivity, and a bit of a bump in overall speed. I would not hesitate in purchasing A-Tech chips in the future.

Although Apple does not officially support more than 8GB memory (2x 4GB) on the Mid-2012 Macbook Pro, I installed these two 8GB DIMMs and they are detected without issues, and seem to work flawlessly with the Catalina MacOS. Very happy with the purchase which is a great value for the money.
