We put a diaper, wipes and a snack in the backpack and went to the zoo. This was perfect to give her a bit of independence and walk time and gave me the feeling of being safe in a crowded area.

Any pull on the leash would loosen the shoulder straps and the backpack would come right off my child.

Its small but doable. The wrist mechanism may require an advanced degree to negotiate. All in all, I guess Id say sturdy but akward

My lil guy quickly figured out how to adjust the back pack straps and escape the backpack while walking on the busy street. Locks dont really do anything noticeable but the wrist cuffs work well enough we can still enjoy walks. (Hes 2yr)
