> 24 hourWow, I was shocked at how easily and quickly I was able to set up a second monitor for my late 2015 27 inch iMac! Because my iMac is an older model, I had to purchase a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) to HDMI Cable. This is the one I bought and it worked GREAT: iVanky Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) to HDMI Cable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0757JWW81/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Please note: This cable WILL NOT WORK WITH THUNDERBOLT 3 (USB-C) Macs. This cable is for older models. The product description page for this item will list exactly which mac models are compatible with this cable/adapter. Heres my experience with connecting the Acer monitor to my iMac: 1. I connected the Thunderbolt (aka Mini Display port) to the back of my iMac. 2. After placing the monitor on my desk next to my mac, I connected the HDMI end of the iVanky cable to the Acer monitor. I then plugged the monitor into an outlet. 3. I turned the Acer monitor on AND IT AUTOMATICALLY displayed as a second monitor WITHOUT me having to go into my macs system preferences to set anything up! It...just WORKED! Im using this monitor ONLY to display documents, browser windows and other reference materials while I study online so I cant speak to the picture quality or any other technical aspects. I just know it was a breeze to set up as a second monitor to an older iMac. But picture looks fine and colors look great. Just remember to get a Mini Display (Thunderbolt 1 or 2 NOT 3) to HDMI cable like the one I mentioned. FYI this came with a VGA cable only.

> 24 hourFirst, NOT a gamer, and to put mildly, NOT into tech...at all. Im turning 70 and havent had to deal much with changing out monitors or desktops in some time. I just turn it on and expect it to work. Im saying that so you can tell set up was so easy. My old monitor, that was inches smaller than the 21.5 (I got it over a decade ago) had been used over 11 years and was a floor model when I bought it! It was great, but could tell its days were numbered. I stream movies, email, stuff like that. Just wanted a simple, inexpensive, but decent monitor and my very Tech nephew (he is in charge of tech for a company) recommended this one for what I wanted to pay. PICTURE QUALITY/CLARITY - For what I use for, GREAT. I cant speak to how it would be for gamers. Great for streaming movies. PRICE: It was on sale when I got it so it was a total of about 90 bucks with tax (I have Prime free ship) SET UP - OK the manual I found worthless. Yes, I can just follow the cables, but this monitor was a tad different than my old one. My nephew, in three sentences, over the phone, told me exactly what to do and it was super easy. I DID find it easier to put this monitor in my lap, do the plug ins, put the stand on, and then move to my desk where I connected to my computer rather than try to set it up on my computer table. This monitor is SO much thinner than my last one. I waited to write this review til I had it at least a couple weeks and, so far, very happy. If anything changes, I will DEFINITELY edit! BOTTOMLINE: Would get again.

> 24 hourI wanted to upgrade from my old monitor and picked this up on sale. Plug and play with a HDMI cable. My only problem is that sometimes the screen will cut to black when looking through photos, then immediately come back in. Not sure if it’s a driver related issue or something to do with my setup, but 90% of the time it’s a great monitor for gaming and videos. The price was right and the quality is good.
