Hinge already broken and I am sad.

I bought an Acer laptop in 2014 because my last laptop broke due to one of my toddlers stepping on it. So I knew I needed an unbreakable, durable laptop, and Acer came to the rescue. At that time, I pay around $280 for a 1 TB ROM with 4 GB RAM, 11.6 inch touchscreen. In comparison, this newer Chromebook by Acer boasts similar unbreakable and drop resistant material, also waits more heavily compared to other Chromebooks, has similar 4 GB RAM but only 32 GB ROM. All of this for $200, non touchscreen (full specs Acer Chromebook 512 | Intel Celeron N4020 Processor | 12 HD+ Display | Intel UHD Graphics 600 | 4GB LPDDR4 | 32GB eMMC | Intel 9560 802.11ac Gigabit WiFi 5 | MIL-STD 810G | Chrome OS | CB512-C1KJ).

My 9 year old son uses this on a daily basis . It works great to play roblox prodigy and he likes a couple apps from google play . Works great for what he needs it for . It’s lightweight & battery works great too .

This is my 3rd Acer Chromebook. Truly, you cant beat it for the price. Im NOT technically inclined ~ the simpler the better. i use it for personal correspondence but it offers so much more. Its super simple to set up. The only difficulty Ive had is transferring my downloaded photos from my other computer. Simply because I dont know how. That will require help from my kids.

I love chrome books. I used one for remote teaching during covid.

Bought for my three year old because I wanted to get her used to using a computer with a keyboard and mouse versus a touchscreen tablet. Also let’s me continue a nice tradition, my parents got me a computer when I was five or so—back when they cost way more money to buy!

Christmas gift just opened it and it doesn’t work.

This is a great tablet for home since it is the system that the kids use in school. They can log on using their school credentials and do assignments or complete activities.
