as most of you are probably doing in these self isolating times you are looking for a new monitor. and if like me are seeing countless terrible reviews from people who simply dont know what they are talking about discourages you from buying a monitor it can be extremely frustrating. overall very happy with this purchase no dead pixels the BLB and other problems people are talking about arent present. maybe i got lucky but the build quality seems great. games look better. dont expect this to be mind blowing although it does look better it is only 1440 not 4k.. so once you get that straight you wont be disappointed or angry because of lack of knowledge. IPS panels can be a gamble but honestly i feel 90% of bad reviews are just people coming off a TN panel and are used to everything being the same. i can 100% confirm jumping from a samsung 24 TN 1080p 60FPS monitor this is a huge improvement and for 350 bucks you cant really go wrong. picture quality is great BLB is non existent in my panel at least and theres no bleed around the panel tested in completely dark room. so if you are sick seeing bad reviews pay more close attention to what they are complaining about. IPS panels are far more different than TN or VA so keep that in mind before you write bad reviews on products before researching

Great monitor for price. Has 4K for consoles and videos and 2k and 1080p with high refresh rates for pc gaming. Stand is a bit weak and I got a blue one which doesn’t match the desk I ordered but it’s whatever since I’m probably going to replace it with a better stand. Will update this review if anything changes after a month or two

Im absolutely amazed that i didnt get this monitor sooner. I made the mistake of buying a 4k BenQ 60hz with a rtx2080. While the picture/gaming was nice, the gamma and refresh rate just wasnt cutting it (that, and it wasnt an IPS screen). The options available to you with this LG monitor enables me to get the best picture possible. Though, out of the box, the picture is pretty dang amazing. Would high suggest to anybody that is looking for a 2k 144hz IPS monitor.

The display on this is awesome. The audio is a little iffy and could be better for the price you are paying. Overall it’s a great monitor and I would highly recommend

I purchased this monitor back in 2019. For the first 6 months, it worked flawlessly. The screen is sharp, bright, and the colors look good. 144hz is a very noticeable improvement over 60 or 75hz for gaming. After 6 months, the screen randomly started flashing horizontal bars up and down the screen, which made the monitor useless. Customer Service: I chatted with customer service a total of 3 times. I tried all of the troubleshooting methods they told me to do, as well as everything I could think of. Nothing solved the problem. They said ship it to their repair center, so I did and I paid the $50 postage. After stress testing it, the problem did not show up on their systems, and sent it back. The problem still persisted for me. The second time I contacted them, they wanted me to ship it to them again and this time they paid for shipping. Again, they did nothing, said they could not find a problem, and shipped it back. I updated windows and all of my drivers, and it still does not work. I spent hours on the phone walking through my problem and I sent photos as well. Finally, I was adamant that I needed a replacement because other monitors work fine on my PC, so its not my GPU. And it is still under warranty. They said they could not do anything for me. Bottom Line: Acer has lost me as a customer forever, as well as all of my friends and family, because they could not send me a working product when I had a defective one and it was still under warranty.

Wasnt sure initially, but what a purchase it turned out to be. Definitely was a big step up for my gaming setup, without breaking my bank. This looked like the only budget WQHD monitor with 144Hz, sub 5ms response time, IPS display with Freesync. Search for yourself in PC PART PICKER. Works like a charm.

This is a great monitor for more simple competitive gameplay. Responsiveness is 9/10.

I ordered the 1440p model. When I connected it in windows it defaults to 4K. Refresh rate is 29hz. When I choose 1440p refresh rate is 59hz. When I tried 1080p refresh rate was 60hz. I bought this to game in and am switching from an ASUS 1080p 144hz 1ms monitor. This monitor makes me nauseous with its low refresh. I am using an HDMI cable for the moment until the display port cable is delivered. That may be my problem. ****UPDATED**** After much tinkering in windows and the monitor, I was able to make it all work so much better. The dp cable is great too. It’s got a fast response and great color now. Not going to say certain fast paced FPS are totally clear when flicking around, but pretty much acceptable and the rest of the benefits outweigh. My old asus monitor wasn’t much better but is blown away in every other department. Movies are much nicer to watch on this by far. Gaming is better in 99% of games. I’ve put many hours on this monitor now and can recommend. - other people talk about flicker, I haven’t seen any. UPDATE ********** three months later and the flicker has appeared. It like a strobe like and is nauseating. Move on to the exit monitor unless you are ok with spending money on a piece of trash.

Great 1440p monitor for gaming. Vivid colors with a good amount of brightness behind it. However, I recently installed this monitor about a week ago and it already has a dead pixel. I dont know what caused it be it is a little anooying when I play games with a dark setting.
