19-11-2024As a basic monitor, its fantastic. At maximum resolution the screen is bright, crystal clear, with much better colors than the one it replaced. It handles games and such without bleed or artifacts, with one condition. It does NOT handle 144Hz, as advertised. More specifically, you can set the resolution to that level, but I get white artifacting (read other, less forgiving reviews for more details.) This is a common problem, though not on every monitor, but Acer has not acknowledged the problem or offered a fix other than return it, and hope you do better with the next one. which is a hassle, leaves you without a monitor, and provides no guarantee the next one will be better. I have set it to 120Hz, and while there is minor artifacting there, its so infrequent for me to say its not worth mentioning. So its a great monitor, but for $350 or so, I cant recommend it without a path from the company to fixing the problem. One more note: HDR is very washed out, but from the little research Ive done, that may be my issue not the monitors. There seem to be times to use HDR and not, which I havent spent a lot of time on figuring out. Im listing it here as a possible issue, but not making it part of my overall review.

20-11-2024At the time I purchased this monitor the price for the specs it offers is great, there arent a lot of options at this price, size, panel(IPS), refresh rate and resolution(2k). Also, I have had luck with acer panels on not having dead pixels, and low IPS glow cons: VRB 1ms response time and overdrive are just for marketing - VRB is better than a asus monitor of around the same price but still does not look good, it reduces brightness and makes the screen flicker - Overdrive maxed overshoots pixels leaving a trace on moving images Having any of this two options on can make your eyes hurt or give you headache I still gave it 5 stars because is hard to find a monitor with these specifications and price.

> 3 daySeller sent me the VG271 model, not the VG271U model. VG271 model only has a max resolution of 1920x1080p, which is what I want to upgrade FROM. Extremely disappointed. Return in process.

> 3 dayI have a blue vertical line twenty minutes after I set up this monitor. If I gently squeeze along the bottom of the bezel, it is fixed, indicating a loose connection. Im going to open it up and try to fix it myself. For 400 bucks I shouldnt have to immediately repair it. Before anyone recommends I send it back, no I bought it and Im going to fix it. Get Bent Acer. Update: The day after I opened the monitor, pushed along the bottom, left open for a few hours upside down and playing content, and the blue line has not reappeared. Put it back together. Its a good monitor, but now I have a sense of unending dread waiting for something to go wrong again. Please continue to get bent, Acer.

> 3 daycompared to the same priced Pixio PX276 that my wifes pc uses, this monitor is way better in color accuracy, and depth of color due to HDR even if its only HDR400. Brightness is plenty more bright then we use (specially at night time.) cant tell a difference between the Pixio at 144hz 1440p and i dont have a way to measure response time but feels alot better then my old Asus monitor that i had. overall i will be buying a 2nd one to replace the Pixio for the color depth and accuracy!
