> 3 dayGreat 1440p monitor for gaming. Vivid colors with a good amount of brightness behind it. However, I recently installed this monitor about a week ago and it already has a dead pixel. I dont know what caused it be it is a little anooying when I play games with a dark setting.

> 3 day27 Inches, 1440p, 144hz. If that doesnt encourage you to buy it then I do not know what will. Ive lived with 24 inch monitors my whole life, in 1080p. I switched to 144hz 2 years ago, and I am never going back to 60. Ever. That solely encouraged me to try a higher resolution at the same frame rate, now Im never going back. 1440p 144hz gaming is something one should experience at least once in their lifetime. Luckily, I experience it every day. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI ordered the 1440p model. When I connected it in windows it defaults to 4K. Refresh rate is 29hz. When I choose 1440p refresh rate is 59hz. When I tried 1080p refresh rate was 60hz. I bought this to game in and am switching from an ASUS 1080p 144hz 1ms monitor. This monitor makes me nauseous with its low refresh. I am using an HDMI cable for the moment until the display port cable is delivered. That may be my problem. ****UPDATED**** After much tinkering in windows and the monitor, I was able to make it all work so much better. The dp cable is great too. It’s got a fast response and great color now. Not going to say certain fast paced FPS are totally clear when flicking around, but pretty much acceptable and the rest of the benefits outweigh. My old asus monitor wasn’t much better but is blown away in every other department. Movies are much nicer to watch on this by far. Gaming is better in 99% of games. I’ve put many hours on this monitor now and can recommend. - other people talk about flicker, I haven’t seen any. UPDATE ********** three months later and the flicker has appeared. It like a strobe like and is nauseating. Move on to the exit monitor unless you are ok with spending money on a piece of trash.

> 3 day[UPDATE, REPLACEMENT FAILED] Just 4 months after my replacement arrived, a burn-in issue developed. Previous windows that were opened and then closed still show up. Hadnt even been on 3 hours. You can see a Steam window and a Chrome window that still show up after closing and starting to shut down. Well see how Acer handles it with warranty, but I just cant believe I got 2 lemons. [end update] All in all, I really like this monitor. EXCEPT... 3 weeks in, its already partially dead. Two columns of non-displaying pixels showed up after the screen started flashing with a snowstorm of vertical and horizontal lines. They start bright, but fade to black after maybe 20 minutes. They show up on every input, while connected to different devices, and when not connected at all. Luckily Im in the Amazon return window so well give it another shot. Im assuming the replacement will be good, if its not, Ill update the review. I upgraded to this 1440p 144Hz from an older Asus VS238, which I got a lot of miles out of (it is now my secondary monitor). The jump to 1440p was for games like RDR2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Age of Empires 2, where visuals and extra real estate for UI and such would benefit. I didnt go 4k because Windows is TERRIBLE with multiple displays and differential scaling. I tried 4k and 1080p dual display for a year and wont be going back. Also, its VESA compatible and the stand EASILY removes if you need to switch out. The 144Hz refresh rate is rather noticeable, even just while desktop computing. Faster paced games will benefit from the extra refresh rate, especially when paired with FreeSync or G-sync. By the way, G-sync worked with my 3060 ti. As far as color goes, it has darker blacks than my old Asus VS238. I dont notice backlight bleed on my dark-colored desktop and I havent noticed any image ghosting, but I havent spent a lot of time in dark games yet.

Greater than one weekSo Ive had the monitor and the horribly wobbly stand it comes with for about 4 months now. Ive not had any performance issues from the monitor. The stand is wobbly and a bit annoying. I REALLY dont know why Acer couldnt have included a more sturdy and adjustable stand with this monitor like they did with the Predator. Not only is the stand not very stable, its not adjustable either. So Im taking a star off for this poor design oversight. In the event you decide to get a different stand beware as Ive had bad luck trying to get stands that will hold the weight.

> 3 dayI was looking to upgrade to a 1440p monitor and I have no regrets for choosing this one. The IPS panel looks noticeably better than my previous VA panel and is truly amazing in quality. The OSD is easy to use and intuitive. I would get a VESA mount however since the stock stand is a bit wobbly according to other reviews. I use the Amazon basics VESA mount.

> 3 dayI looked for reviews on this product before purchasing. It seemed to be a fairly even split, people who got good ones, and people who got bad ones. I gambled, and got a bad one. Out of the box it immediately had flickering issues with the fake HDR setting turned on, as if the screen was struggling to put out that much light consistently. Turned it off, it seemed okay. After about 30 minutes, I began to notice a different flicker coming up. The entire screen flashing gray for just a fraction of a second. Okay, I think to myself. Issues sometimes come up when you get something new. Lets troubleshoot. I try different cables. I had defaulted to Displayport because my graphics card only has one HDMI, and thats used for my old reliable BenQ office monitor thats a secondary display. But through multiple DP and HDMI cables (including the one that came in the box), the problem persists. Next are the settings. I go through them all. Turn them off or on, one at a time. Freesync, ACM, VBR, Ultra Low Latency mode, etc. etc. Problem persists, and gets worse with some. By the time I decided to call it quits, the gray screen flickering had accelerated to happening about once every other second, which made every task unbearable to deal with.
