> 3 dayWhat attracted me to this laptop was the processing power and speed. I need a new laptop for work and this one checked off everything on my wish list (with the added HDD). I read all the reviews and heeded the warning about overheating so I got a matching laptop fan and this laptop is so fast, the resolution is awesome, the back lit keys (only come on when plugged in) look so cool. We are still getting to know each other but I have the highest hopes for the Predator. Admittedly it has been a while since I bought a new laptop I am a little starry eyed. I installed the HDD with help of a YouTube video - NOTE: inside the box with your power cord is a tiny bag of 4 screws this is for the HDD installation. I highly recommend.

> 3 dayI dislike this laptop. I git it new and after first boot and windows instalation it had a problem with keyboard backlight not working. I spoke with acer support and none of the fixes worked which means device wasa defected. Windows got updated and after restart windows entered bootloop. Also some program windows were blury and battery life is terible.

> 3 dayIt is a powerful computer to do almost anything, but the problem is that the internet it so slow, you need to activate/deactivate so many things inside the computer so your internet speed would be better, and also the battery life is so short for a computer like this, if you like to play so many hours you must keep plugged in

> 3 dayOnly two problems with this device I have found in my weeks of use. Initially starting up my graphics card was set to default as Intels graphics chip. Which also included games. Ita a power saving features to switch between rendered but mine was not switching for games. But it was easy to switch it in nvidia settings. Number 2 thermal throttling was a noticable problem. The solution I decided to go with was getting graphite pads. And alternative to heat paste with a slight risk sense they are conductive. Not difficult to pop open if you got the right tools and if you can change out thermal paste at the very least it is a great value laptop.

> 3 dayThe amount of gaming performance you get for this price i am blown away always wanted to get a gaming pc and this was it. Only thing that bugged me was after a few houers of gaming the machine would get warm and the keys would start to get hot and not be nice to touch on a hot day but besides that loving it.

> 3 dayExcellent laptop all around, 8th gen is definitely worth the money. Extremely powerful and mobile. Currently a college student going back and forth, the laptop is very portable and supports a majority of games on high graphics including Grand Theft Auto V even with mods. The only con is the laptop has a very short battery life, personally I get about 1-1.5 hours of straight gameplay and for school work or browsing about 2.5-3.5 hours max. Also just as everyone else has included the Predator heats up fairly quick in term of Fahrenheit, during gameplay my pc sits consistently 130-155 F. Overall extremely satisfied and happy with my purchase. In my opinion the best gaming laptop in terms of portability and price by far.
