Update: I believe I just received a bad unit. The Display Port connection stopped working altogether. No amount of restarts, cable swaps, and/or alternative sources (Laptop and PC) were able to bring it back. This may explain many of the issues I was encountering.

This is my 4th try to write a review for this monitor. I have to say my first 3 weeks with this was a head ach. Now I gotten to know the monitor I refuse to play any HDR or high frame rate game without it.

Its a beautiful monitor and does exactly what it sets out to accomplish: provide stunning imagery in games and other video applications. The menu is well designed and easy to navigate and the build quality, overall, is solid. Not much to complain about here.

I have had this monitor for about 3 weeks (been waiting for about 3 years). I have been building high end gaming PCs since about 2001, and this is probably the single biggest (and most expensive) advancement in gaming technology I have ever seen. In second place is probably the first time I switched to a SSD a decade ago and nearly eliminated load screens.

Im so happy I purchased this monitor. Worth every penny and arrived early. If anything changes Ill come back and change this review. But I dont think that will be necessary. It has taken my game to the next level.

I got the Acer X35 and took my chance knowing the flickering and fan issues others were complaining about, I was also aware that there is a firmware update earlier this year that resolved both those issues, but I was a bit skeptical and ready to be disappointed, my mind was set to get the Asus PG35VQ, but the Acer one is $600 cheaper than the cheapest PG35VQ I could find, so I pulled the plug and crossed my finger on the Acer.

Received the monitor quite recently and every part of it is a masterpiece, from the stand designs reinforcement of the spring hinges to the high quality, high performance panel with amazing HDR support. I cannot recommend this enough, even if the price tag is just short of your first born. I will say that the main downside I experienced was backlight haloing when using desktop HDR.

It’s hard to rate this monitor as it was a gift. The individual I gave it to couldn’t get it to work with his gaming console. We called Amazon support and unfortunately they weren’t able to fix the problem. One thing great about Amazon is their return policy. We returned the monitor as instructed and purchased a monitor elsewhere that was compatible with our equipment. All we lost was some of our time, and patience..

Switched from an asus 144 hz monitor and I just feel this one is sharper, faster, and more responsive. 10/10

I have ordered two x35 predator monitors through amazon and have been extremely unhappy with this monitor. The first monitor, attached picture with damage right side of the screen, arrived that way. When I first contacted amazon about this monitor they said it was a manufacturer defect and they would not take my return. Agent connected me to Acer and they informed me that if it isnt a manufacturer defect I would have to pay for it! I hung up and called amazon back and had to demand to speak to a US representative before I could get someone who actually would process a refund. I returned the monitor, amazon quickly refunded my money back and I had to wait until the monitor was in stock before I could order another. Ordered the second monitor and this one arrived and it actually could work. However; one I was able to finally get the monitor set up I noticed that it had several issues.
