> 3 dayPurchased and installed a dedicated antenna, ran cable and the dongle died. Check the online version, if there is local coverage, save your money.

> 3 dayShould provide a similar result as the flightaware product. Its smaller and has less plastic in case. Use flexible cables on both ends to avoid breaking off connectors.

> 3 dayDont expect any instructions on how to use this thing. The AirNav platform is no good, and costly. The free data uploader account is not free. I use with the Avare app.

> 3 dayLove it. I had a NESDR Nano 2 with a proper ADS-B antenna on our roof. This has taken my max coverage in some directions from ~60 miles to 150 miles. I had previously configured my setup with the NESDR Nono2, RTL1090 software, Virtual Radar Server software and Plane Finder feeder client on my PC. I swapped out the NESDR Nano 2 with the green FlightStick, stopped RTL1090 and restarted it, and I was up and running in less than 20 seconds.

> 3 dayI have been a radarbox customer before- I am on my 2nd Commstation- something happened to the first one and wouldnt work anymore, and since last year, I am having issues with the second, and I have gotten no where with support. I figured I would get this, to see how it worked. I first tried it on an old computer, and on the radarbox site it would show that it was working, but it wasnt picking anything up. The software would not pick up anything at all, and even wouldnt show that it was connected. On a brand new computer, the same issue has happened. Support has been nonexistent, both on the commstation and also on this flightstick.

Greater than one weekHaving also used the FlightAware USB stick with a Raspberry Pi, I was looking forward to trying out the new USB dongle from RadarBox. I was surprised to see that it was the exact same one as the FlightAware stick, but thats a good thing. I was more afraid of the setup process. Im a fairly technical person (My day job is playing IT Director for a Hospitality company), but I had some issues with the FA stick and an RPi. With the free software that RadarBox provides from their website, it was a 3 minute process to get everything up and running! Im curious to see if this will work with the FA software on my RPi as well, because if it does, then this would be a great, cheaper alternative to that for the same data.

> 3 dayI plugged this into a machine I hadnt been using for this purpose before. Within 5 minutes I had installed and was running dump1090 and with the web interface was able to see planes in real time. i didnt have an antenna (yet) so I just shoved a paperclip into the antenna port (i do not recommend this!) and was seeing weak-ish signals. Later on with a proper antenna, coverage expanded nicely. What a fun, and cheap way to get introduced to ADS-B tracking. It was cheaper than my last order of K-cups!
