Installation is pretty easy, but there are no instructions in the box and you have to go to their website to find them. Once you find them theres only a couple of pictures and the way things are worded doesnt completely make sense. I ended up using the two long screws that came with this mount and screwed them through the OEM wedge, then through this wedge, and then into the wall. I dont think this was correct after doing it, but it worked. So minus a star for making such a simple piece of plastic kinda confusing. They also could have made it much better looking and smaller, but I knew it wasnt the prettiest when I bought it so I wont take a star off for that. Otherwise it gets the job done fine, see attached pictures to see how much it changed the angle of my camera. Ignore the ugly chair, it is now safely deposited in the trash.

I bought this hoping for a better angle than the wedge provided by Google. Though its better it is not a steep a wedge as I had hoped for.

The wedge does exactly what it is supposed to do, and having it has made my doorbell camera that much more useful. Install took way longer than it should have. While the instructions seemed clear at first glance, when I got into it I had trouble correctly identifying a few of the parts and ended up using more-trail-and-error than I would have liked. If anyone from the maker is reading this, Id urge 1. One more pass on the instructions, please. Please clearly define what is in your box and what is being re-used from the Nest. And probably add a few more pictures.

The finish on the mount is shiny while the Nest doorbell finish is matte. The color is slightly different, but that isnt quite as noticeable. I use some 1500 grit sandpaper and gave it the same finish as the nest doorbell and it looks a lot better.

Im posting a review because all of the photos from other reviews seem to show odd configurations with recessed porches and the doorbell being mounted on a sidewall. Mine is on a flat wall and I was frustrated because I couldnt see all the way down my front porch with the 15゚ factory angle mount. I have a Box for smaller package deliveries at the end of the porch and I couldnt see it with the 15゚ mount. We usually leave the Box open and I wanted to be able to see if the lid was closed or if larger packages were left sitting on top of the Box or near it at the end of the porch. With the 30゚ mount only, not using the 15゚ factory mount I was able to get the perfect angle and see from the the far porch pillar all the way down the wall of the house to the driveway. My only concern is that it does stick out from the wall quite a bit. I understand the need for the need for the bulk on the back side due to the angle required but on the other side there is still 5/8 inch when 1/4 inch, maybe less, would have sufficed and made for less bulk. In summary, love the angle, quality seems good, just hope my Labrador mix doesnt tear it off the wall when she scratches at the door.

If you get it set the first time through is perfect. Your device is perfectly angled, everything fits like it was made from Google and the white doesnt look bad against the nest, however thats where all the pleasantries end. The lack of directions about which screws to use in which holes kind of sucks, for anyone thats curious use the long ones to mount the wedge to the wall and the short ones to attach the nest to the wedge. Now if you happen to do that wrong or use the wrong ones or drill too fast if youre using a drill, your mount holes are effectively shot and youll basically need a new wedge. I initially installed it the correct way but then thought it was a little too loose and let it go, but I figured I would do this right and not wait for catastrophe to fix it, I undid it and used the long ones to attach the nest to the wedge and that was a mistake. While it does seat the nest wall plate firmly against the wedge, because of the angle and the shape of the screw head, the nest wont seat into the plate. And now my holes were worn and there was no going back. So now I had two additional holes in the wall and a worn wedge. Instead of pulling it off and ordering another one a did some quick Google searches, plugged the holes entirely with super glue and baking soda, and mounted the wall plate again to get the nest on the wall. Im not sure how well itll hold up to the heat cold cycles but for now it works.

If you are looking for an aftermarket wedge for the Nest Hello doorbell, this is the way to go. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to use it as the space between my storm door frame and brick molding is very narrow. This product is built like a tank ! It is very well thought out, very well designed and well manufactured. The box it comes in is kind of flimsy though (especially if Amazon sends it in a non-bubble plastic envelope), but that is the only complaint that I have. A very nice product at a very nice Price = 5 Stars ! Just a note, you can reverse the Nest Hello doorbell wedge and get a15 degree of tilt instead of 45 degrees and also get a little more space between the doorbell and the door frame.
