Akro-Mils bins is part of a small group of name brand bins which is above all others in quality. Akro-Mils bins are built to last and hold their shape. Finding cases of them on sale through Amazon for a fraction of retail cost is a double bonus. I buy several cases when I find them on sale.They are a perfect size 11 X 11 X 5 tall for storing anything or to keep any room, garage, or patio organized. Best price is to buy them by the case of 6 for $36.00 around ($6.oo each) from Ceilblue. Check out pricing on all colors, some colors are cheaper than others.

These bins stack very well (only with other bins of same size), hold lots of small to medium pieces, and dont have any corners that things get stuck in. The bins are very rugged. They have room for a label tag in front, and accept front-to-back dividers. A rack is available to hang bins on. Another option (not sold at Amazon) is a clear plastic lid. Bins come in choice of three colors. Cons: Dont stack at all with different sized bins. A bit expensive.

I bought a couple cases of these to store my cloth in as I sew a lot. Since they stack so well, there was no need for a cabinet. Being so modular, I can trade them around easily. I got the translucent white ones and they do not look industrial at all. I got another case of these in a different size, perfect as pattern trays, easy to flip right through them. I went with Akro instead of an off-brand because Ive been aroundthe cheapos and they are generally not worth it. These Akros are not flimsy at all and I have them loaded and stacked high, three rows side by side with no wobble.

I see now that all of the reviews mentioning high quality of these bins seem to be from years past. The ones I got dont look like the product images. The front of the bins has big creases where the front and under side of the plastic mold are joined. They were dirty, warped, scratched, and one was chewed up in the corner. They do seem sturdy enough, and I was able to reduce the warping of the front and back because I also bought the dividers that go down the middle. This kind of pushes them back into place. But it feels like theyre selling a dollar store version of the bins at original quality bin prices. I think these are going to need to go back to Amazon.

Bins cracked after just a few weeks. Manufacturer refused to replace. Don’t buy this $#@.

This plastic storage bin is perfect for working with recycle and reusable materials. It is easy to access the materials in the bins. As a teacher and parent, I highly recommend this product.
