    Let’s deal with the elephant in the room: the $1300 price tag. Does this buy you a suitcase of exceptional quality? Yes. Are you paying a ~2-3x premium for the Tumi name? Yes. I cannot help you with the decision of trying to justify the price. All I can do is tell you that you are getting a suitcase of the highest quality and a warranty that’s there for you when things go wrong.

    I don’t own a Tumi but I’ve worked for the airlines and tossed many Tumi around, and boy they can take a beating. The noise you hear beneath ur feet before boarding and while deplaning, is your bags being tossed. And many times they fall off the belt loader, 10 ft high. I strongly recommend, I know I’ll be buying a set.
