I used this bag for a long weekend away that did not require a suit, and it worked great as the primary bag for clothes, sandals, robe, and assorted items. Its well laid out and has large and expanding pockets both inside and out. I wasnt crazy about the loops for hangers, which could be a bit looser and ideally would open and close; it was hard to fit the hangers through once the clothes were on. There were no wrinkles on my shirts, but I did use a thinner cover before putting them in. I dont know if Id have needed to do that if I wasnt stuffing the bag with many items besides a suit. Recommended for suits and short trips.

This Amazon Basics Carry-On Garment Bag for Travel and Business Trips with Shoulder Strap (Grey) is pretty solid, well made with premium materials and premium constructions. The design is pretty nice and very functional. First off, the main compartment opens nicely with the zipper looping around to the other side; then an hook that allow this whole garment bag to be hung onto any door make it very easy to load and unload, or just to use, this garment bag system. There are multiple loops for you to hang your different shirts, pants, and jackets; and the retaining system (3 separate horizontal straps, with the middle one having a foam insert) keep the clothings in their place while allowing hopefully wrinkle-free or reduced wrinkles folding. I also liked the interior zipper flaps that have multiple organizer pockets and mesh pockets. The exterior compartment is also spacious that you can stuff in quite a bit of miscellaneous items. I think you can easily do an other night business trip with just this carry-on garment bag, and to a certain extend, it may be easier to pack as well as use than a traditional carryon suit-case luggage. Overall, I am impressed by this garment bag on its quality, construction and features; the only thing maybe a slight negative of it is its price. I feel that even tho, it is probably worth its price; at this price, I may have other choices, so this may not be the obvious winner. If I can do 1/2-star, this item would have been a 4.5 (not a 5 yet). Lastly, this particular grey color may get dirty easily (even tho it looks very good); yet if I am to do it again, I am likely to get a different color (maybe black) to avoid this particular getting dirty easy issue. Thank you for reading this review, I hoped that this review & the pictures are helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.

This garment bag, as I write this review, is checked in at the airport and on the way into the belly of a plane for the first trip. This replaces a previous bag which I have had for several years, and has had a couple of trans ocean flights and is getting travel worn. Packing comments are quite favorable! I find the design, size and utility to be slightly better than expected. It had several very nice features. The description states three full suits and shirts - I do not find that accurate, as I packed two full suits and three dress shirts, and any more and closing the cover zipper would have been challenging. There are three loops for three suits, so perhaps my suits are just bulky? The good: a find the material to be pleasingly thick and effectively padded to protect nice clothing. It should assist in wrinkle prevention. Very well thought features such as a padded middle fold over, staggered loops for three suits (hangars not all bunched in one spot), and a self contained fold over (many garment bags zip then fold - this one folds then zips together), and a well designed secure and discreet personal identification card area. The slide over handle strap is wide and should fit over most luggage extendable handles. The bad: this has four medium sized pockets as a result of the middle zipper feature. Enough to fit a pair of dress shoes, 4 ties, and 3 socks/undershirt/underwear. However, I find the comparison brand has more storage. The hangar loops are made of webbing, and I question the durability of them. The ugly: this can double as a carry on brief case, with a brief case / office compartment. This is super for a day or overnight trip, wasted pocket storage for a longer trip. For a comparison product before my closing remarks: https://www.amazon.com/Travelpro-Maxlite-Bi-Fold-Garment-Midnight/dp/B09S389BJP/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=3SBXD52RJEF6Q&keywords=travelpro+garment+bag&qid=1648331283&sprefix=travelpro+gar%2Caps%2C153&sr=8-8 The Amazon Basics garment bag is comparable in quality to the above comparison product, at 1/3 the price. That is a substantial value in my opinion. I will need to run this through a few trips to determine durability, but If it manages just 4-5 business trips, then it remains a good value given the $39-$46 list price range. I will swing by and update this review once I can fairly gauge durability. So far though, this is a definite recommend.

I occasionally need to travel with a suit and HATE checking my luggage under the plane. I love that this manages to eliminate my much larger garment bag and somehow look like a briefcase when all is said and done! Unlike another similar briefcase garment bag I tried, this one actually has enough room for my suit without bunching it up at the bottom (the other one wasnt tall enough, this one IS), and has enough pockets thrown in that I might even be able to use this as my only luggage for a quick business trip. I really like it and would recommend it!

The metal chain for hanger broke during second use.

Very handy but you are able to easily get a very decent amount of clothes into the bag without over-stressing it.

I dont travel very often with a suit or other clothes that require a garment bag. I do travel fairly often and as such have invested in some high quality, somewhat expensive luggage. However, in the cast of a garment bag that I use infrequently, this is just perfect. Its extremely functional and doesnt overcomplicate things. With luggage I so often see companies that add all kinds of unnecessary features in an attempt to differentiate themselves and to make it seem to be fancy and justify a higher price. Not so with this garment bag. Its simple, works great, and seems plenty durable for recreational use. If youre traveling weekly with a garment bag, perhaps you might want to want to buy something a bit more high-end, but for the rest of us, this bag will serve very well.

Perfect for a 2-3 days getaway by vehicle. If I am not flying I usually do not pack my button-down shirts. I hang them in my truck and hand carry them into the hotel. The garment bag allows me to consolidate all of my clothes and toiletries into one piece of luggage and still eliminate wrinkles on shirt. There are plenty of pockets to accommodate toiletries, shoes, and everything else you need for a short trip. The material and color is very attractive and durable. Worth every penny.

This bag is perfect for a quick get away! A weekend bag. An be tough to get right, and most are like a duffle which is a wrinkle magnet. This is like a folding wardrobe! Keeps clothes nice and straight. Theres enough space for 3 outfits for sure plus the other pockets for daily needs. Fabric is nice and durable, definitely recommend
