Sturdy raiser for monitor and matches the rest of the desk. Good quality.

This is a nice and sturdy shelf. Very easy to put together, just 4 allen screws that go into metal inserts that have already been put into the bottom of the shelf. Thats a nice extra touch so you dont strip the screws going directly into the wood. I know they are designed to raise your monitor off your desk, and would work fine for that. I have a desktop mount arms mount for my two monitors, so I am using it to put my desktop computer on to keep it off the floor. Gives you a nice 4 inches or so lift, and is plenty sturdy for either purpose. The wood shelf feels heavy and doesnt seem like pressboard at all.

The stand is sturdy. I have used it in 2 separate instances, one with a 23 inch monitor and one with a 32 inch monitor. It was sturdy in both the cases. Assembly was pretty straightforward. I didnt need any additional tools, the screw driver that came with the package was sufficient for fastening the screws. The stand does what is supposed to, and more in fact. I now have some additional desk space under the stand to stow away items when not in use, like keyboard, mouse, headphones. Paired with a black monitor, it looks good too.
